Receiving the Torah was terrifying. The mountain shook and the horn blared. Recently freed from slavery, the Israelites chose one God, and that God’s mitzvot. We'll try to understand that choice, the value of coercion, the importance of choice, and the ancient and contemporary pressures of assimilation. Time permitting, make wire sculpture exploring these themes (optional).
